
On Thursday, there will be multiple long runs. One of these is the Drumstick Dash, which the organizers claim will be the biggest Thanksgiving Day run in Los Angeles County, with an estimated 7,500 runners.
The race gains A nonprofit organization called Hope the Mission works to prevent, lessen, and end homelessness, hunger, and poverty.
The race is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. in North Hollywood at the intersection of Weddington Street and Lankershim Boulevard.
Turkey Trot Los Angeles contributes to The Midnight Mission’s fundraising efforts for those in need. A mile-long “Widdle Wobble” for kids ages 2 to 12 begins at 10:15 a.m., followed by a 10K at 9 a.m. and a mile-long Dog Jog at 7:30 a.m.
The course starts at City Hall, circles Grand Park, passes the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Broad Museum, and ends back at City Hall.
According to the organizers, over 4,000 participants are anticipated, some of whom will be dressed as Thanksgiving turkeys, pilgrims, and pies.
$100,000 is the target, according to Berkovich.
The 30th Thanksgiving Day Run & Food Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, the Turkey Trot in Pacific Palisades, the 13th College of the Canyons Turkey Trot in Santa Clarita, and the Turkey Trot 5K, 10K, 15K, and Half Marathon in Santa Monica are among the other races scheduled for this Thursday.
