The football world was horrified by Travis Hunter’s devastating late hit against Colorado State in the first half. Hunter ultimately returned to the pitch, but he was forced to leave the match before the second half began and did not come back.

Hunter’s night in Colorado’s rivalry game versus the Rams came to an end after being brought to the neighborhood hospital for assessment, according to ESPN’s Quint Kessenich.

In his first season playing under Deion Sanders at Colorado, Hunter has completely rocked the college football world. Prior to Saturday’s game, he had participated in 157 snaps on offense and 183 snaps on defense. As a wide receiver, he has caught 14 receptions for 192 yards. He has made five tackles, broken up three passes, intercepted one pass, and only allowed three receptions on 10 targets while playing defense.

The drawback of having a two-way superstar like Hunter is that while he’s out, the Buffaloes are simultaneously without one of their top wide receivers and top cornerbacks.

Here is all the information you require regarding his injury.

Update on Travis Hunter’s injury

Sanders announced after Saturday’s game that his star two-way player was going to be “out for a few weeks.” He stated that he is still awaiting further information, although he anticipated a protracted absence.

In his press conference, Sanders stated, “We’re going to do everything we have to do to take care of him. “Now that I’ve read Travis like a book, I know he’ll probably want to miss two weeks of the game, but we have to make sure his health comes first.”

Sanders announced on Monday that Hunter would be out for three weeks, which would include the games against Oregon and USC.

Sanders did not clarify whether the damage Hunter is suffering from is the one described by Skip Bayless on Monday, who stated that Hunter will be out for three to four weeks with a lacerated liver.

Travis Hunter: What happened to him?

On a play in the first quarter, Colorado State safety Henry Blackburn hit Hunter hard, and he struggled to stand up.

Before making a comeback just before the half, Hunter missed a number of plays. He sat out the whole second half before being declared officially injured and brought to the hospital.

Hunter was overthrown on the play by Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, albeit it was determined that pass interference occurred. But once the ball had landed, Blackburn approached Hunter and knocked him to the ground. Blackburn was penalized for a late hit, which infuriated the sports community.
