Shop
On Monday, major grocery stores and retailers like Kroger, Target, and Walmart are open. On MLK Day, major retail stores like Costco and Sam’s Club are open as well as fast food restaurants like Chick-fil-A and McDonald‘s.
Delivery services and the post office
On holidays, mail is not delivered by the United States Postal Service.
Monday is not a UPS pickup or delivery day; UPS is closed on Monday. Check with your local UPS Store for specific operating hours as some locations may be closed. There is a UPS Express service available. FedEx is open, but there are changes to the express and ground economy schedules.
Banking operations
The New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, and the majority of banks are closed.
Governmental organizations
The Department of Motor Vehicles, city offices, libraries, and other non-essential government services are closed.
National Parks
