Mariah Carey declares that we are officially in the most delightful time of the year!
The 54-year-old singer started the countdown to Christmas on November 1st, as is customary for her, and exclaimed, “It’s………. TIME!!!” while posting a video of herself getting ready for the holiday season.
The video shows Carey frozen in a block of ice, dressed like Mrs. Claus, with a vault door swinging open to reveal her. The date and time are seen shifting from “October 31 at 11:59” to “November 1 at 12:00.”
Carey then yells, “It’s time!” in a high-pitched voice as four people dressed in Halloween costumes—including a pumpkin head and a mask from the movie Scream—begin melting the ice with hair dryers.
Then, as she plays in the snow and is joined by her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, her joyful classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” begins to play. The two had holiday attire on as well, complete with colorful lights around their necks.
Carey, nicknamed the “Queen of Christmas,” wrote, “It’s………. TIME!!! #MariahSZN,” as the caption for the Instagram photo.
The pop sensation launched “MariahSZN” a year ago with a video depicting herself changing into a joyful Mariah wearing a one-piece Santa suit and riding a reindeer, from a cackling witch on an exercise bike.
She posted a video of herself beside the message, “IT’s time!!! #MariahSZN,” on X (previously known as Twitter.
Kris Jenner stated just a few days prior to her post on Wednesday that she was attempting to “persuade” her friend Carey that it was “time” for her yearly Christmas visit as they reconnected over dinner.
The Kardashians star shared a selfie of the two on Instagram along with the caption, “Dinner with my girl @mariahcarey.” “Reaching out and attempting to persuade her that “it’s time”!!!!!.”
Carey’s popular video from November 1st of last year was also included in the post, which was shared on Saturday.
The best-selling Christmas song of all time is Carey’s festive classic. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Holiday 100 Songs list the previous year.
