One day after being denied entry, 21 Savage made Canada his own at Drake‘s sold-out performance on Saturday night.
The rapper performed yesterday night alongside Drake at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, making it his first official trip outside of the United States.
Drake may be seen on footage cutting off a man holding a microphone to announce 21’s dramatic entrance on stage. As the crowd went wild, 21 gave Drake a massive hug.
As you are aware, 21 recently received his Green Card following years of legal wrangling following his arrest in Georgia in 2019 which resulted in drug and firearm possession charges.
21 was a UK citizen living in the US at the time with a visa that had expired, putting him in the sights of American immigration authorities.
Let’s go ahead to Friday night. The reason for 21’s denial of admission into Canada is unknown, but he was expected to be by Drake’s side for the event.
Nevertheless, 21 was able to resolve his immigration problems, and Canadian authorities opened the doors so he could enter the arena on Saturday.
It wasn’t immediately clear how the criminal case against 21 stood in Atlanta.
