
This year, Veterans Day falls on a Saturday, so in honor of the federal holiday honoring Americans who served in the armed forces, some banks will be closed on Friday and others on Saturday. The stock markets will be open on the holiday, but post offices will be closed.
Are banks open on Veterans Day or today?
According to a spokesperson, Capital One branches will observe Veterans Day on Friday and will reopen for business as usual on Saturday.
According to representatives for each bank, Bank of America, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and U.S. Bank are among the financial institutions that are open on Friday during regular business hours but will be closed on Saturday in observance of the holiday.

On Saturdays, neither the New York Stock Exchange nor the Nasdaq Stock Market are open. On Friday morning, trading began as usual on the markets.
The markets will be closed on November 23, this year, in observance of Thanksgiving, which falls later this month. On November 24, the day of Black Friday, the markets will also close early.

A representative for the U.S. Postal Service stated that business as usual will resume on Friday. Post offices will be closed on Saturday, and regular mail delivery will not occur.
On Saturday, there will still be express mail deliveries. On Monday, regular mail service will be resumed.
FedEx offices will remain open on Friday and Saturday. However, due to the Postal Service’s holiday celebration, on Friday, FedEx Express service will offer early on-call pickups in certain areas, and ground economy deliveries may experience delays. Its ground and ground economy services will be closed on Saturday.
On both days, UPS stores will also be open. There will be a delay in certain deliveries because of the postal service holiday.
