Leto, 51, used a rope and harness to climb the outside of the famous New York landmark while wearing a bright orange jumpsuit.

He accepted the challenge in order to raise awareness of his band Thirty Seconds To Mars’ upcoming global tour.

On NBC’s Today program, Leto stated: “To tell you the truth, I was more excited than nervous.” I must admit, though, that it was really, really difficult. The difficulty exceeded my expectations.

“Just the endurance which it took, the stamina as it took, and it was extremely sharp.”

Along with his roles in Morbius, House of Gucci, and Suicide Squad, the actor is best known for his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club.

Thirty Seconds to Mars, best known for hits like “Kings and Queens,” will launch its first headlining tour in the next five years in Buenos Aires in March 2024.

He said: “I made it to the top, and then I saw my mother in the window on the 80th floor, which was a nice surprise.”

At 380 meters (1,250 feet) high, the Empire State was once the tallest structure in the world. When accounting for its antenna, it measures 443m (1,454ft).
